Los Angeles TV stations still dont know anything about the Kings

We've mentioned this before, but the Los Angeles Kings are not a new team. They are one of the oldest teams in the NHL, having joined the league during its first major expansion back in 1967, when it went from six teams to 12. They have been around for decades Kenny Wooten Jersey , all in the same city, and have had some of the greatest players in NHL history wear their colors (you know, guys like Wayne Gretzky, Marcel Dionne, and Luc Robitaille, just to name a few). That's what makes the inability of the Los Angeles TV stations to have even a basic understanding of their history (or existence, for that matter) all the more frustrating. And they were at it again on Saturday. Heading into Game 5 in Newark, the folks at KCAL-5 ( ) set the stage for what could be the Kings' first championship by pointing out that Bruno Caboclo Jersey "this is the first time the Kings have made it to the Stanley Cup Final, and that's something fans are excited about."Of course, this is actually the time the Kings have made it to the Stanley Cup Final, making a previous trip in 1993, when they lost to the Montreal Canadiens in five games. It was a pretty memorable series for a couple of reasons. For one, it was the last time a Canadian team hoisted the Stanley Cup. It was also memorable because of the now-infamous incident in Game 2 involving Marty McSorley and his illegal stick, that allowed them to tie the game before winning in overtime. Maybe if the Kings actually win this thing they'll start to get a little respect in their home market. They certainly deserve it.
